NOV 29, 25: ARRIVE IN JOHANNESBURG (D)
DAY 1
Upon arrival at Johannesburg Airport we meet our guide and transfer to our hotel. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
Hotel check in time is after 2:00 pm. Early check available with a surcharge.

NOV 30, 25: FULL DAY JOURNEY TO FREEDOM TOUR (B, L)

DAY 2
After an early breakfast, we depart our hotel on a full day tour of SOWETO, which is an acronym for South Western
Township, home to over 3.5 million people. In Soweto, we will visit the Kliptown Open Air Museum and Regina
Mundi Church, the site of many secret underground meetings of the then banned political parties. Stop at Mandela
House (no entrance included) before lunch at Sakhumzis’ Restaurant. We continue our tour and visit the
Apartheid Museum, a strong reminder of South Africa's past.  The museum was created for us not to forget the
atrocities of our past and never to be revisit. At the end of the tour, we transfer back to the hotel.
DEC 1, 25: TRAVEL TO PILANESBERG NATIONAL PARK (B, L, D)

DAY 3
Today, we will travel north-west towards Pilanesberg National Park (approximately 2 hours). On arrival, we enjoy an
open vehicle game drive.

DAY 4

DEC 3, 25: FLY TO CAPE TOWN AIRPORT (B)

DAY 5
After breakfast, we transfer to the airport for the flight to Cape Town (airfare was estimated and requires requote
at the time of booking). Upon arrival at Cape Town airport, we transfer to the hotel the rest of the day at leisure.

DEC 4, 25: CITY TOUR, ROBBEN ISLAND & DRUMMING DINNER (B, D)

DAY 6
After a leisurely breakfast, we depart with our guide for a full day tour. Depart to the water front where we take a
ferry ride to the Robben Island, which was served as a place of banishment, isolation and imprisonment

from the 17 th to the 20 th centuries. Today it is a World Heritage Site and museum, a poignant reminder of
the price paid for freedom. The excursion includes a return ferry to the island, a bus tour on the island and
of the prison.
Next, enjoy a cable ride to the summit of the legendary Table Mountain (weather permitting) for a view of the city.
From there, drive by Parliament, City Hall & Slave Lodge, the Castle of Good Hope and visit Company's Garden,
and drive through Bo Kaap & Malay Quarter before taking a complimentary diamond workshop tour.
Tonight, we enjoy dinner at Gold restaurant with interactive djembe drumming. Travel back to the hotel at the
end of the tour.
DEC 5, 25: FULL DAY PENINSULA TOUR (B, L, D)

DAY 7
We depart from the hotel for another full day of sightseeing with our guide and driver. Enjoy a scenic drive along the
exquisite stretch of coastline known as Millionaire’s Paradise, passing through Camps Bay, Clifton, and the exclusive
beach hamlet of Llandudno, before reaching the charming working harbor of Hout Bay. Upon arrival, we embark on
an up-close-and-personal Seal Island cruise, weather permitting. Continuing our journey, we head to the wild and
beautiful Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, an integral part of the world-renowned Cape Floral Kingdom. Take
a ride up on the funicular for magnificent views. From there, we proceed to Simon’s Town for a lunch break at
Bertha’s Restaurant before visiting the penguin colony at Boulder’s Beach. Our tour concludes at the hotel, and
tonight, we enjoy our farewell dinner at a local restaurant with return transfers.
DEC 6, 25: HALF DAY WINELANDS TOUR (B)

DAY 8 (Saturday)
After a leisurely breakfast, we enjoy the morning at leisure. After lunch on our own, we transfer to Franschhoek,
where we will take a walking tour of the town. Next we drive by Huguenot Monument before Wine tasting at
Boschendal Wine Farm - 1685 Range Tasting followed by another winery tour and tasing at a black-owned estate in
Stellenbosch (subject to availability).
Afterwards, we transfer to the airport for the flight home.
UA 1123 flight, CPT to EWR, on Mon, Thurs, and Sat, leaving at 8:50 pm, arriving at 5:50 am the next day.
